Take a magic carpet ride to this Arabian escape.
Between the quiet dunes of the North African desert scape, Anantara Tozeur Resort has opened a zen-inducing stay in Tozeur – in the southwest of Tunisia.
The luxurious 93-room resort features spacious villas, five bars and restaurants and the opportunity to dine under the stars (on dishes like camel steaks prepared over open fire) at its ‘Arabian Nights Restaurant’.

Guests can travel on a horse and carriage ride to palm groves to sample the local dates, and visit an abandoned 14th century Berber village. Feeling adventurous? You can also quad-bike at the Sahara Desert’s largest salt lake and visit Star Wars filming locations.

The resort is a 15-minute drive from Tozeur’s Nefta International Airport. Room rates start from $350 USD per night for Deluxe Sahara Rooms, and $1,000 USD per night for a villa.
