In time for The Australian Ballet’s season of The Nutcracker, InterContinental Sydney is hosting its ‘The Nutcracker High Tea‘ in the heritage surrounds of The Cortile.
Ballet aficionados, sweet-tooths and Christmas obsessives alike can enjoy La Maison Du Thé teas served alongside traditional sweets and delicious savoury bites from 11 November 2019 to 4 January 2020.
Served daily from 11.00am–5.00pm, tea takers can opt to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, French Champagne, or, for visitors under twelve years old, a children’s petite high tea.
Pastry artists have drawn inspiration from The Australian Ballet’s The Nutcracker, bringing the Christmas story to life through a pink-hued menu. Expect three tiers of treats, including buttermilk scones and a sugar plum guava tartelette topped with Persian fairy floss.
