It's unbelievabubble.
Bannisters is one of Australia’s most booked-out boutique hotels, but few people know that the group behind the acclaimed Mollymook and Port Stephens properties also run a countryside retreat inspired by the ranches of Montana.
Thankfully, you don’t have to trek out to the Wild West to get there. The Jackson Ranch is located at Bawley Point on the NSW South Coast, just 3.5 hours south of Sydney and 2 hours south east of Canberra.

The property is home to 10 newly renovated cabins and one luxe bubble tent, nestled amongst 37 acres of natural bushland. Each abode is secluded, offering a private refuge where you can unwind amongst leafy gum trees and kookaburra calls.
For a luxurious stay with friends or family, kick off your cowboy boots at The Homestead – a four-bedroom, three-bathroom lodge complete with a full farmhouse kitchen, large living area with fireplace and chandeliered dining room.

The country abode blends seamlessly with the natural environment. Warm honey timbers come together with soft white linens to create a breezy setting that is both rustic and chic.
Directly out back is a sunny porch that backs onto a dam and pontoon. Cool down with a dip in the water or just enjoy the tranquil scene from one of the deckside sun loungers. There’s also a citrus-dotted garden and outdoor spa where you can sip champagne and star gaze in the evening.

If the clouds roll in, get cosy by the fireplace, with plenty of freshly chopped wood stashed by the side of the house to keep you warm.
For smaller groups, there’s the Hideaway cabin which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus an outdoor shower and bath where you can soak up the scenery.

If you’re a fan of the tiny house trend, then you’ll love the property’s four eco-cabins. The ultra-chic shacks have been cleverly designed to include everything you might need for a weekend away, including a double bed, bathroom, kitchenette and a deck with views across Lake Willinga. An outdoor barbecue beckons for a night toasting marshmallows and sipping wine around the fire.

Excitingly, a new bubble suite has been added to the property, and it’s so popular you can only book it by phone. The domed suite is decked out as plushly as any five-star hotel room, with the added beauty of rugged bushland views. Complete with an outdoor bath, it’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature.
Beyond the scrub, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. Bawley Point has been called the new Byron Bay, thanks to its many pristine beaches including Bawley Beach, Gannet Beach, Merry Beach and Pretty Beach.

It’s also a foodie hotspot, with local eateries The Fish Shop, Lagom Bakery and Hayden’s Pies, all big winners in this year’s delicious. 100. Mollymook is a 30-minute drive away, where you can get a priority booking at the Rick Stein restaurant, Bannisters Pool Bar or Pavilion Rooftop.
