Planning to traverse afar during the Year of the Rat?
If you’re in the market for chic luggage, or in the habit of lurking around airports, you’ll likely be familiar with Australian brand July.
Although monogramming is a standard offering from the company, to kick off the Lunar New Year, it’ll now be offering Chinese character personalisation too.
The company’s co-founders Richard Li and Athan Didaskalou have said that Chinese monogramming has become a growing demand since the brand expanded into Asia. Li says, “We have a lot of customers from a Chinese background, so the Chinese character lettering was a natural extension to our personalisation offering.”

To offer this service, more than 7000 characters were required, which are now available on all July cases – in all colours and sizes – with a choice of five font styles and 19 text colours to choose from.
While the Chinese character offering will only be available for a limited time over the Lunar New Year Period (until January 25), Li says, “We’d love to continue it. If we see strong demand from our customer base, it will be here to stay forever.”
