It’s time to “seas” the day.
There are only a few chefs in Australia who can command the title of culinary royalty, but Matt Moran is one of them.
It has just been announced that the celebrated chef, TV host, restauranteur and author has top billing on Cunard’s inaugural culinary cruise – a 5-night sailing adventure on board the luxurious Queen Elizabeth.
The ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’ will depart from Sydney on 28 January 2023, taking in three of the country’s culinary and dining hotspots, sailing to Melbourne and Burnie (Tasmania), before arriving back in Sydney on 2 February.
Known for his commitment and passion for local Australian produce, Matt will be whipping up exclusive dishes for guests, and says he’s looking forward to sharing his thoughts about Australian food and produce through onboard talks and interviews.

“My love for Australia’s food culture and produce runs deep,” Matt says. “We are so incredibly lucky in this country with the variety of experiences and ingredients available to us, and the amazing landscapes and destinations we can all access through travel. Cunard’s Great Australian Culinary Journey brings these two elements together in a unique showcase and I’m thrilled to be part of it!”
From sampling indigenous ingredients to sipping on acclaimed Australian wines and dining experiences to remember, Cunard has ensured an enticing program of events, dinners, demonstrations and onshore experiences.
And with more culinary legends joining the sailing soon to be announced, we can’t wait to set sail with Matt on this royal-worthy voyage.
Cunard is offering a special launch fare starting from AU$1,309 per person in a twin share Inside Stateroom. To read more and to book, see: cunard.com.
