If your dog really is your best friend, you’ll want to reserve your spot for The Social Dog Company’s collaboration with QT Canberra.

Barkfest will present a dog’s day out on 23 February 2020, from 3.00pm to 7.00pm, during which dogs and their humans can enjoy delicious food and beverages, live entertainment, and lots of four-legged activities.

There’ll be a puparzzi red carpet for photogenic pooches, a ‘best dressed’ parade, dog-focussed stalls and an adoption wall showcasing loveable rescue pups looking for their forever homes. Sporty types can partake in the Pawlympics Tournament, followed by a medal ceremony; while a Drags to the Rescue adoption parade will see Drag Queens and canines oozing glamour.

Treats will be on offer at the Doggie Diner, boasting a menu of delicious bites. And, proceeds raised will go to local dog rescues, Greyhound Connects and ACT Rescue & Foster. Humans will be catered for too, with street food from QT’s Capitol Bar and Grill, served alongside beer, wine and dog-themed cocktails.
