Guilt-free dessert. That’s the dream. At least it’s my dream. And if you’re anything like me (i.e. fashion-obsessed, and health-motivated, but also easily distracted by the promise of sweet things), then it’s probably your dream too.

Every June, I pack away my bathing suits and pull out my autumn coats. I make the switch from drinking iced coffee to drinking hot oat milk lattes. I obsessively collect new pudding recipes, while simultaneously vowing that I will definitely not revert to an all-carb, all-sugar diet this winter like I did last year. (For reals this time, promise.)

Thankfully, my saviour — and yours — has arrived in the form of Glasshouse Fragrances’ new Sugar Coated Collection.

The all-you-can-eat sweets buffet that is the new sugar coated collection features a range of “outrageously indulgent fragrances” designed especially for dessert lovers.

It was created in celebration of Glasshouse Fragrances’ 15th birthday, as a nod to the brand’s longest-standing and best-selling scent, A Tahaa Affair, and inspired by none other than Veruca Salt of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fame, the very embodiment of our non-stop desire for the finer things in life.

The capsule collection features a bespoke design, with each scent hand wicked, hand-trimmed and hand-poured in Sydney, then housed in Glasshouse Fragraces’ signature glass vessel.

The new scents include:
Movie Night: which is described as an olfactive cinematic journey with swirls of Vanilla ice cream, decadent almond-topped waffle cones, and caramelised popcorn.

Party On: which features heady, meringue-like aromas of vanilla cake batter, coconut, and amber.

Sweet Enough: which combines savoury and sweet notes of molasses, butterscotch, honeyed nuts, and “caramelised everything.”

Rich and Famous: a decadent mashup of chocolate, cream and coffee, with a splash of rum and butterscotch.

All Red Ones: combines the addictive thrill of red sugary notes like pomegranate, guava, raspberries, cherries, and jam with a zesty top note of lemon.

But — being a carb addict from way back — the one that speaks to my heart most is Bakery Binge, which offers all the wicked indulgence of trays of gooey pain au chocolate, piping hot fresh bread with melted butter, and the sweet, soothing aromas of cinnamon sugar, with none of the guilt.

Like I said… That’s the dream!
The six new dessert-inspired Sugar Coated fragrant candles will be available from June 10th exclusively from Glasshouse Fragrances online boutique.
