This is not a drill. Virgin Australia has announced that as of today it will start flying direct from Gold Coast to Bali, a first for the airline. 

To celebrate the momentous occasion the airline (who is no stranger to a good deal) has dropped a massive sale on fares for the new route. Sunseekers, surf chasers and bintang drinkers can score a return ticket between Gold Coast and Bali for as little as $419 (Economy Lite). Take my money! But you have to be quick. The sale is only available till April 3 or unless sold out prior. 

The flights to Bali will operate daily during the holiday season and four times a week throughout the year. For locals living on the Gold Coast, this new route will minimise travel time as they will no longer have to fly from Brisbane Airport.
