Some seriously luxe changes are rolling out across Virgin Australia’s in-flight menus, including sweet and crisp Belgian waffles and gin cocktails served at 35,000 feet.
Virgin Australia has today unveiled 12 new additions to the airline’s Economy Class buy-onboard menu from today, as well as a brand-new Business Class menu launching on November 20, 2024.
Who needs a flight to Mexico when you can sip on Batched Salted Grapefruit Margaritas and Papa Salt Gin Palomas (for only $13) while you snack on corn chips and salsa on board?

With Virgin’s new partnership with meal-prep service, The Street Food Co., select flights will have options like honey chicken fried rice and spinach and ricotta cannelloni. For dessert, you can enjoy Belgian chocolate waffles or the OTT Byron Bay triple choc cookies.
When it comes to the new Business Class menu, the airline means, well, business. Here are just some of the rotating menu items launching on November 20.
Breakfast menu
- Mixed berry and coconut chia
- Banana bread with hazelnut spread, mascarpone, fruit and coconut
- Spiced oats with coconut and fruit compote
- Breakfast quesadilla
- Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and potato
- Vegetable frittata with bean ragout and vegetables

Lunch/Dinner menu
- Spiced chicken mezze with pitta
- Creamy pasta salad with optional chicken
- Pork in sticky lemon sauce with aged rice and vegetables
- Creamy pasta with mushroom sauce and optional prosciutto
- Chicken pasta salad with tzatziki
- Roasted vegetable and couscous salad with optional prosciutto
- Vegetable and chickpea tagine with aged rice and optional sliced chicken breast
- Yellow vegetable curry with optional sliced chicken breast
Dessert menu
- Salted caramel slice
- Lemon cake
- White chocolate and macadamia cake
