Live like Bluey for real life at this Aussie Airbnb version of Heeler House

Bluey-1

And it’s not going to cost you a lot of dollarbucks

Bluey is one of those rare children’s TV shows beloved by parents and kids, so it’s going to be hard to tell who’ll be more excited about getting to live like Bluey for real life.

You see, the Heeler house is coming to life for one magical weekend.

The home, which is the setting of many a fun-filled episode, has been listed on Airbnb in Brisbane, Queensland.

It’s your chance to play Keepy Uppy, magical statues and sticky geckos in the same setting that Bluey does.

It’s the details, such as the red letterbox, the round kiwi rug and toys including Bluey’s beloved Chattermax and magic xylophone, that will make you feel like you’re really living in the Heeler home.

Kids can stay overnight in Bluey and Bingo’s Bedroom, equipped with two single beds, comfy cloud cushions and that watermelon rug while Mum and Dad can relax in Bandit and Chilli’s plant-filled master bedroom.

Even the backyard has been Bluey-fied, with Grannies’ car, custom toadstool seats and bespoke dog garde gnomes.

As part of the stay, you’ll spend an afternoon decorating that Duck Cake, have a Chinese takeaway feast – complete with spring rolls – in the backyard plus have a puppet-making session to create your own version of Bluey’s Bob Bilby.

This one-of-a-kind stay is part of the Only On Airbnb program, which aims to provide guests with unique, once in a lifetime, money-can’t-buy experiences.

Airbnb country manager for Australia and New Zealand, Susan Wheeldon, is thrilled that Bluey, Bingo, Chilli and Bandit are opening up signing up as hosts. “While we have some incredible homes on Airbnb, there will be nothing quite like waking up in the Heeler house and getting to live and breathe in Bluey’s magical world for one wondrous weekend,” she says.

Bluey senior marketing manager, Madeleine Jelfs, agrees and believes the Heeler house is almost a character in its own right.

“We’ve been amazed at the outpouring of love the fans have shown for this iconic setting, and for all the beautiful Queensland locations the crew have so lovingly included across the three series. Bringing Bluey’s backdrop to life in such an ingenious and colourful way for our fans has been an absolute delight,” she says.

The Heeler home is available on February 18-20 for only 10 dollarbucks a night. Bookings open at 8am Tuesday, February 15 at airbnb.com/bluey.
