Brisbane has another Art Series Hotel on its way

Howard Smith Wharves hotel

And it's headed straight for the Howard Smith Wharves development.

Just as spring has sprung, so too is Brisbane in the midst of bloom. The river city may long have sat in the shadows of older siblings Sydney and Melbourne but the Queensland capital is now proving its worth thanks in part to the booming James Street precinct and the Howard Smith Wharves development.

Much has been reported on the latter’s edible offerings, with the launch of Greca, and Stanley among others. But little has been known of the long rumoured hotel set to join the restaurants in this new riverside development. It has now been confirmed that the 5-star hotel set to launch within Howard Smith Wharves will be an Art Series Hotel – the second for Brisbane.

Howard Smith Wharves Hotel

Having just welcomed the W Hotel Brisbane and The Calile, Brisbane is no stranger to a design-savvy hotel. But its latest accommodation option is promised to be as luxe as its latest two contenders, featuring 164 rooms and suites, a pool, a terrace, a bar, and a restaurant on its lower level. It also boasts riverfront views and some peace and quiet away from the CBD thanks to its riverfront home underneath the Story Bridge on Boundary Street.

As this hotel won’t launch until early 2019 we expect plenty of details to be revealed in coming months.
