From ultra sleek to old-world charm, Byron's newest stays have us hovering over the 'book now' button.
The slow awakening of autumnal temperatures has many looking to book in hinterland weekend escapes – and Byron Bay remains a favoured destination among short-stay holidaymakers. And, though the crowds mean planning ahead is crucial to getting your preferred accommodation, new offerings are opening in secluded spots overlooking the bay.

No matter your aesthetic, these new homes away from home offer both contemporary design lovers and admirers of antique chic a comfortable place to unwind.
Two new luxury cottages (and a wedding venue) have emerged in the World Heritage-listed Nightcap National park.

Eco-stay Nightcap Ridge is as sustainable as it is pretty – and it’s Blue Fig Cottage and Rose Gum Cottage boast two bedrooms, open fires, well-equipped kitchens and generously proportioned tubs.

Nearby, Palm-Springs modernist-inspired Blackbird Byron presents design-oriented bed and breakfast accommodation, where the only sounds are those of the locale’s namesake black cockatoos.

Expect sparkling wine on arrival, luxury pavilions, king-sized beds and views of the mountains and sea.

A magnesium mineral pool overlooks Cape Byron, and guests can opt to book massages while staying at the chic new site.
