Most states across Australia bid farewell to the stifling summer heat and humidity and welcome the cool change of autumn, where mornings and evenings are crisp and the days are packed full of sunshine. So what does this Easter long weekend’s weather look like across the country? Here’s what AccuWeather is predicting.

Sydney, New South Wales

It’s looking like a mix of sun and showers throughout the Easter long weekend in Sydney.

Good Friday, April 3: lows of 20°C, highs of 26°C. A little rain in the morning; otherwise, broken intervals.

Easter Saturday, April 4: lows of 19°C, highs of 25°C. Broken intervals of sun with a little rain.

Easter Sunday, April 5: lows of 18°C, highs of 24°C. Sunny periods with the odd shower.

Easter Monday, April 6: lows of 18°C, highs of 23°C. Bright periods.

Melbourne, Victoria 

Easter weekend is shaping up to be a goodie when it comes to the weather in Melbourne, with a rain-free weekend on the cards.

Good Friday, April 3: lows of 13°C, highs of 22°C. Sunny periods and cloudy at night.  

Easter Saturday, April 4: lows of 12°C, highs of 23°C. Mostly sunny, with some low clouds in the evening.

Easter Sunday, April 5: lows of 14°C, highs of 24°C. Low clouds throughout the day and night.

Easter Monday, April 6: Lows of 15°C, highs of 21°C. Broken cloud and sunny spells with the odd shower in the afternoon. 

Adelaide, South Australia 

Good Friday, April 3: lows of 13°C, highs of 23°C. Sunny spells throughout the day. 

Easter Saturday, April 4: lows of 13°C, highs of 24°C. Long sunny spells followed by a clear night. 

Easter Sunday, April 5: lows of 14°C, highs of 25°C. A day filled with sunshine.

Easter Monday, April 6: lows of 15°C, highs of 26°C. Slightly warmer with long sunny spells. 

Brisbane, Queensland 

Good Friday, April 3: lows of 19°C, highs of 28°C. Spells of rain in the morning; otherwise, cloudy.

Easter Saturday, April 4: lows of 19°C, highs of 27°C. Spells of rain in the morning; otherwise, broken intervals.

Easter Sunday, April 5:  lows of 19°C, highs of 27°C. It will be much the same as Saturday with spells of rain in the morning; otherwise, broken intervals.

Easter Monday, April 6: lows of 20°C, highs of 26°C. The rain will finally be clearing, with broken clouds and sunny spells.

Canberra, Australia Capital Territory

Easter Saturday, April 4: lows of 11°C, highs of 23°C. A little rain in the morning; otherwise, broken intervals of sunshine.

Easter Sunday, April 5: lows of 11°C, highs of 23°C. A little rain in the morning; otherwise, sunshine breaking through some clouds.
