A spring fling awaits.
Shed the layers, embrace the linen life and find a sunlit alfresco cafe from which to watch the ocean. Springtime in Noosa is ripe for weekends away, when the water is already warm enough to take a dip and nights are growing balmy.
Here’s where to eat, stay and play when you’ve got a weekend in the Sunshine Coast’s sparkling beachside town:
Where to stay in Noosa
If you’re going to visit this sparkling resort town, you’re going to want to do it in style. Opt to stay on the waterfront at one of iconic Hasting Street’s beachfront hotels, where you can wake up to a view of the ocean (and the sight of Noosa’s early morning fitness fiends jogging up the beach and doing laps in the sea).
Seahaven Noosa boasts inimitable views of the sunset strip. A pool with a view offers a tranquil spot for lazing in the sunshine by day, while its proximity to the best of restaurants and bars in town affords guests easy access to top-notch fare.

Where to eat in Noosa
Noosa is home to an amalgamation of dining styles, from casual burger spots, to healthy wholefood bars, relaxed meals with acoustic live music at Peter Kuruvita’s Noosa Beach House, and fine dining along the waterfront.
By day, visitors can pull up a seaside seat along the waterfront. For a Champagne-fuelled lunch accompanied by the region’s freshest seafood fare, guests flock to the likes of Sails Restaurant and Seasons Noosa, for leisurely, languid occasions.
Of an evening, away from the bustle of Noosa’s main streets hides Sumi Open Kitchen, an authentic Japanese restaurant where diners can watch all the action as the chef creates intricate dishes for a set omakase menu. And, if you’re on holiday, why not partake in the sake pairing (a choice of small or large sips) with each course?

For virtuous mornings, Vanilla Food has quickly become the local go-to for the likes of vibrant smoothie bowls alongside nutritious savoury dishes at both its Noosaville and Noosa Junction sites.
Where to play in Noosa
Between meals, do as the locals do and take a brisk walk along the headland. The easy-going walk bestows its pedestrians postcard-worthy views out to see (and a chance to do some whale spotting). Take a picnic, if your appetite returns for lunch, from one of Noosa’s best providores.
After a warming walk, hit Noosa beach to soak up some sun and take a swim. Take advantage of Queensland’s sub-tropical climate, which keeps the water at a swimmer-friendly temperature (nearly) all year round.
Enjoy a spot of shopping at Hastings Street’s finest boutiques, or head to the farmers’ markets for fresh produce (we recommend sampling the Sunshine Coast’s locally grown strawberries).
