New interiors, who dis?
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, Lancemore Milawa in Victoria’s High Country, is undergoing a multi-million-dollar transformation, the results of which will be unveiled later this year.

The 40-room boutique hotel, less than three hours from Melbourne, will debut a fresh new look evoking clean lines, Moorish themes and a fashion-forward country estate sensibility in September 2022.

Details are yet-to-be unveiled, but it’s likely the design concept will remain true to the hotel’s pared back, unassuming aesthetic, which takes inspiration from its jaw-dropping vineyard and mountain surroundings.

Lancemore has tapped award-winning interior designer Hana Hakim of The Stella Collective for the project, and we’re told to expect an ‘innovative free-flowing design’ that embraces the distinctive four seasons for which the region is renowned.

“We wanted to elevate Milawa on the global stage and deliberately sought to work with someone with edge; British-born, Syrian Hana Hakim is a designer with global heritage but who calls Australia home, the perfect creative to bring our vision to life, who understood intuitively what we set out to achieve,” said Lancemore Group CEO Julian Clark.
