A tranquil hideout has emerged in Litchfield, NT. Just head north, then keep going.
There’s off-grid, and then there’s truly off-grid – and these new luxury eco cabins in the Territory fall into the latter category.
In a peaceful site, only 13 kilometres from the iconic Wangi Falls of Litchfield National Park, cleverly converted shipping containers have just opened their doors to visitors.

The solar-powered Hideaway Cabins are set in the naturally beautiful surrounds of Litchfield, where a one-story and a two-story cabin are surrounded by quiet bushland. Here, your closest neighbours are kangaroos.

Guests can expect to find kitchens stocked with essential breakfast provisions: eggs, bacon, milk and yoghurt on arrival. Opt to cook on the deck, or, in warmer seasons, in the comfort of the air-con inside. (Never fear, there’s a generator on site should you need it).

The two cabins are 70 metres apart, with a solar-lit path connecting the two – making them suitable for both separate groups and larger bookings.
