If you love a Saturday Bunnings run, you'll soon be able to make a weekend of it and book a room upstairs.
If you’re a firm believer that the early bird catches the worm (or the sausage in bread, as it were), you’ll soon be able to stay the night above a Bunnings and be the megastore’s first customer of the day.
For some, it’s the stuff of nightmares, while for others it’s a dream come true to spend the night at their favourite DIY store. Slated to open in the second half of 2021, construction has already begun on a large site in Doncaster, Victoria. On the bottom floors will be a large Bunnings store, while on top a luxury 183-room, six-floor Mercure Hotel will bring a restaurant, pool and gym to the site. So you can quite literally shop until you drop.

According to News.com.au, the two-storey store will cost more than $90million to construct, and the hotel will be in the ballpark of $70million to build.
The store will also feature a playground and cafe for those making a real weekend of their visit.
