Northern Territory Major Events Company has also confirmed that the iconic NT Parrtjima – A Festival in Light, is set to go ahead over ten nights, from September 11-20 in Alice Springs.

This will mark one of (if not the) first major arts festival to follow the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. The dazzling light and art event in the Alice Springs desert landscape is unlike anything, anywhere else in the world.

Each evening, nearly 2km of the MacDonnell ranges comes to life with spectacular lighting effects, and Parrtijima 2020 will be no different.  This year’s program will celebrate Lifting our Spirits with the festival continuing to tell age-old Aboriginal stories through new technologies.
