Guess which quiet little town just won 'Aussie Town of the Year'

Port-Fairy

It's hiding in plain sight.

For the second year in a row, Wotif has announced it’s top ten Aussie towns to visit for a local getaway, based on the criteria of pricing, demand, reviews, and available accommodation.

Ready to take a road trip? This year, Victoria’s tranquil coastal town Port Fairy has taken out the number one spot.

Predominately a fishing village, the town sits at the end of the Great Ocean Road. What got it over the line was its annual folk festival, emerging arts scene and cute cottage accommodation.

Also on the list was Albany, Port Augusta, Bendigo, Forster, Cowra, Palm Cove, Scamanda, Dubbo and Warwick.
