Not the camping type? This idea might just change your mind.
Yes, it might be winter, and, no, you might not be the camping type. But bear with us: we think even the most discerning luxury travellers are about to become happy campers with this new offering from Sierra Escape.

Firstly, there’s the fire places – so no camper need go cold. Then, there’s the luxury glamping sites, which can hardly be called ‘tents’ at all (think luxury bedding, sophisticated furnishings and even contemporary kitchens). Then, there’s the spacious bath tubs with a view. And now, there’s deli provisions delivered direct to your door.

That’s right. Now we’ve got you intrigued: Mudgee’s eco-glamping resort has unveiled a range of unique experiences you won’t find in any old camping grounds.
Collaborating with local businesses to bring healing massages, horse-riding (followed by wine tastings at local vineyards, we might add), and now delicious foodstuffs to campers, Seirra Escape owners Cam and Tasch D’Arcy are raising the bar.

“Tasch and I are passionate about creating one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests. We want to showcase the amazing local offerings and see our guests fall in love with the region, just as we have,” Cam explains.
Mudgee’s own Dad’s Deli will be bringing the salami, prosciutto, brie, cheddar, olives, dip and crackers to guests (perhaps following a massage session and wine tasting, we suggest).

Guests can also learn about the cultural history of the land while dining on native-food-infused dishes thanks to Indigiearth, an award-winning, 100 per cent Aboriginal owned-and-operated business. Sharon Winsor, chef, founder and Ngemba Weilwan woman, will visit guests’ tents to prepare a personalised
bush-tucker feast using locally sourced ingredients while sharing the area’s Indigenous history.
