In a charmingly ramshackle shed right off the Tasman Highway, Gala Estate Cellar Door is the understated home of the second-oldest family business in Tasmania. The fifth, sixth and seventh generation of the Amos still live on the land. The grapevines are only one of the farm’s most recent additions, but in less than 20 years this estate has developed a cult following for its cold-climate wines, particularly pinot.
