Set on the sandy shores of Castle Bay, you can sip on local winemakers finest drops and snack on BBQ bites while kicking back on a beach bed as the sun sets and iconic DJs – such as Blur bassist/cheese-maker/winemaker Alex James – take to the decks. Or settle in at the cosy seaside bistro seating for a four-course meal curated by Western Australia’s best chefs – think Dave Pynt of Burnt Ends fame – and paired with stunning Margaret River wines. Whether you want to indulge in a long lunch or dance the night away under the stars, curate your own experience at the exclusive Margaret’s Beach Club.

Margaret River winemakers don’t shy away from different and at New Wave Gathering at Skigh Wine (November 15 & 16) you’ll get to taste your way through the region’s most innovative and daring wineries – think LS Merchants and South by South West. Rebel winemakers, new blood and the old-guard alike, will put forward crisp roses, delicate sparklings and rustic whites for you to try while Instagrams’ favourite chef Andy Hearnden (@andycooks) whips up pizza, tacos and enchiladas. Bringing the vibes will be Attica’s Ben Shewry who will be hanging up his apron and spinning vinyls as DJ. This isn’t your typical wine-tasting so expect the unexpected.

Between the vines of the House of Cards Winery and the surrounding gardens is where street eat stations will pop up for Night Hawker at Chow’s Table (November 16), a celebration of Asian delights. The one-night-only Pair’d event will see superstar chefs Dan Hong, Rosheen Kaul and Mal Chow come together to create an Asian fusion of authentic bites such as dumplings, grilled skewers and more. The delicious street food with be paired with award-winning House of Cards wine or local beers from Eagle Bay Brewing.

At the Grand Tasting presented by Singapore Airlines (November 16 & 17) you’ll get to try drops from Margaret River’s most prestigious wineries – Leeuwin Estate, Howard Park, Cape Mentelle, Vasse Felix, just to name a few. From best-sellers to rare museum specials, only the best of the best wines will be showcased here. Set on the sweeping lawns of Howard Park, wines will be paired with seafood and BBQ delights curated by culinary experts Brian Cole, Silvia Colloca and Blaze Young.

Boutique wine producer Amelia Park Cellar Door and Restaurant will team up with Champagne producer Louis Roederer for a night of absolute decadence. The Amelia Park x Louis Roederer evening will begin at sunset with a selection of oysters and canapes paired with bubbles, followed a four-course meal prepared by chef Blair Allen. Dishes will be paired with James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge winner, Decanter World Wine Awards Platinum Shiraz and Trophy Winning & Matthew Juke Top 100 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, all presented by award-winning winemaker Jeremy Gordon.
