When wine and sophisticated design come together, things can only end well for the discerning holidaymaker.
On the southern Greece’s Peloponnesian Peninsular, a sleek new Design Hotel is presenting a unique stay for those who truly love wine and design. Once an abandoned winery, Dexamenes Seaside Hotel is set to open in May 2019.

The industrial design of the newly restored site pays homage to its former life as a functioning winery – that just so happens to overlook a picture-perfect Grecian beach.

Among the choice of 34 rooms is the opportunity to sleep in what was once a wine tank, circa 1920s, and is now a fully restored sleeping chamber. Better yet, the hotel is still surrounded by wineries of the region. With proximity to a number of large vineyards, the hotel’s bar and culinary offerings are a central focus.

The site has been reimagined by architecture firm K-Studio, and will open just in time for the buzz of the European summer.
