As if we needed another excuse to temp us head to Hawaii, Prince Waikiki is about to emerge like a butterfly from the cocoon that was Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and Golf Club.

In an eight-month and $55.4US million transformation, the hotel has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment. They have transformed all 563 guest rooms and suites while giving the entire space a makeover that reflects not only the hotel’s history but also its stunning location.

“We’re thrilled to unveil an all-new experience that truly meets the needs and expectations of today’s traveller,” said General Manager Chuck Abbott. “Beyond the impressive physical transformation, we’ve also focused on personalising guest services and offering a modern artful place for travellers to gather.”

The ocean front location was once a gathering place for island dwellers. This history became quintessential in the design process, but also ceremonial as now guests are invited to gather, replenish their energy, and enjoy all of the bounties this stunning region has to offer.

Another dining destination located in the hotel foyer is Katsumidori Sushi Tokyo. Opening his first restaurant outside Tokyo, Executive chef Noboru Nagumo’s signature style has proven popular with both visitors and locals alike. He masterfully fuses the flavours of Japan with local Hawaiian ingredients to create the ultimate sushi experience for diners.

For the active, Prince Waikiki boasts an exquisite Arnold Palmer designed golf course suitable for any level of player. The only course of its kind on the island boasts 27 holes set on 270 acres of sheer beauty all under the gaze of the Waianae Mountains.
