Feeling the heat? Allow us to transport your mind to this icy hideaway.
Those who love to ski, or perhaps just watch the snow fall from the comfort of a beautifully decorated hotel’s windows, The Hide Hotel Flims is calling.

Almost entirely hidden by snow in the little town of Flims, The Hide is nestled between 224km of ski slopes in the Swiss Alps, four snow parks and 28 ski lifts.

And yes, the snow is a significant drawcard, but let’s face it: we’re all about the design by Baumschlager Eberle.

The four-story hotel, part of the Design Hotels’ collection, sits sleekly in its landscape – mirroring the rocky mountainous region.

Here, there are 47 top-floor guest rooms and suites – adorned by Erik Nissen Johanson of Stylt Trampoli with jewelled tones, warm wooden accents and brass touches.

From each room, guests can peer out from their outdoor terraces over the UNESCO World Heritage certified view.

Cosy yet sophisticated, the shared lounge space offers a place for guests to warm up around a fireplace.

As for the food, Hide Dining presents Swiss specialties with a contemporary stamp made by chef Tschanz. At Hide Deli – a modern Middle Eastern eatery – guests can warm their bellies with freshly baked bread and classic Alpine treats.

And, the fun doesn’t end when the snow season does. Come summer, this landscape becomes a haven for nature lovers who can enjoy the many hiking trails.

On the lower floors of the hotel guests can enjoy shopping, bars, cafes, childcare and wellness treatments. In May, a Finnish sauna, rainforest showers, and more will open in the wellness complex.
