Even children have access to their own private non-alcoholic mini bar here.

For those with a taste for the finer things in life, London’s Mayfair neighbourhood is the place to base oneself.

Now, the prestigious corner of England’s capital has become home to a new hotel that brings old-world London charm and new-world luxuries together. The Biltmore Mayfair is a 51-suite and 257-guest-room hotel where special extras, like personalised embroidered pillowcases and monogrammed bathrobes are perfectly reasonable requests.

Rather than a run-of-the-mill mini bar, guests at The Biltmore can access their own quilted leather cabinet, encasing full-size bottles of Champagne (forget the minis here). Even the youngest guests at this hotel can enjoy their own bathrobes, coloured toothbrushes and their own non-alcoholic mini bar.

Highly lauded restauranteur Jason Atherton brings four distinct dining and drinking spots to the Grosvenor Place hotel too. Head Chef Paul Walsh, who launched Jason’s City Social, will be at the helm of food service.

First, The Betterment restaurant will offer a seasonal menu, featuring locally sourced ingredients prepared over a wood fire. Next up, The Pine Bar will serve up classic cocktails, quality wines and bar snacks – including home-cure charcuterie. In The Tea Lounge, inside the hotel lobby, guests can enjoy quintessentially British afternoon tea. And, on The Terrace, visitors can observe floral arrangements and fairy lights while eating and drinking under the stars.

The new LXR hotel opened this month, and is now taking bookings.
