And its newest hotel might just be its most luxe.

Sure, Rome, Florence and Venice might be the Italian cities best known for their food offerings, while the Amalfi Coast might have avid Instagrammers’ attention, yet this Italian destination captures the best of food, history and photo opportunities rolled into one. Puglia, though visited less often that the afforementioned cities, is a destination that should top all food lovers’ must-visit lists.

And now, the new retreat is offering some seriously chic accommodation to befit this dreamy setting. The Masseria Torre Maizza is a retreat opened by Rocco Forte Hotels, offering warm Italian hospitality and sophisticated design.

Set in Savelleteri di Fasano, on the Adriatic coast, the accommodation – once a farmhouse dating back to the 16th century –  is surrounded by ancient olive groves.

Now, 40 luxurious, spacious suites present inimitable views over the Apulian countryside. Director of Design, Olga Polizza, has worked alongside local artisans to restore the former farmhouse – incorporating local heritage with contemporary design.

And, what about the food? Using strictly local ingredients, celebrated chef and Creative Director of Food for Rocco Forte Hotels, Fulvio Pierangelni has put together a menu that boasts authentic Italian dishes.

A 20-metre pool, a 9-hold golf course, a private fitness centre, beach club and spa treatments are all part of the experience too.

Sir Rocco Forte, CEO and Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels said, ‘Masseria Torre Maizza is a small gem, which I am particularly proud of. It holds all the charm, character and flavours of southern Italy, offering guests a unique perspective on
the local treasures’
