Heading to Bali soon? Reading this could save you a huge headache at the airport.
From September 1, 2025, all international passengers arriving at key Indonesian airports – Soekarno-Hatta in Jakarta (CGK), Ngurah Rai in Bali (DPS), and Juanda in Surabaya (SUB) – must complete a new mandatory All Indonesia declaration card before entry. It has to be submitted online within three days before arrival. The requirement will extend to all international airports in Indonesia from October 1, 2025.
The All Indonesia system is a new unified digital platform that replaces multiple separate forms – such as the health (SATUSEHAT), customs (e-CD), immigration, and quarantine declarations – with one streamlined online form.
It’s important to note this is mandatory. You cannot bypass this step, even if you already hold a visa or are visa-exempt.

Why it matters for Aussie travellers
- Consolidated convenience: This replaces separate health, customs, and immigration forms with one digital declaration.
- Efficiency: Speeds up processing at arrival and reduces hassle (hopefully)
Step-by-step pre-travel checklist for Aussie travellers heading to Bali
Apply for the All Indonesia card via allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.
Provide:
- Personal details (name, nationality, passport details, contact)
- Travel details (arrival/departure, visa or permit number)
- Transportation & accommodation (flight, hotel or address)
- Health and customs declarations
Then you will receive a QR code. Email or screenshot it, and bring it on arrival. (We recommend screenshotting it, in case WIFI or cellular coverage is patchy when you land).
Then you need to apply for your e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA), only after submitting the All Indonesia declaration, and no later than 48 hours before your travel to Indonesia.

One of the most convenient visa options for Australians is the Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA):
You can apply for this online using the official Indonesian immigration site.
- Requirements: A passport valid for at least six months, passport-style photo, active email, return ticket, and payment via Visa, Mastercard, or JCB.
- Timing: Submit no later than 48 hours before travel, and ideally no more than 14 days ahead.
- Cost: Around IDR 500,000 (~AU $50).
- Outcome: You receive your e-VOA digitally and there is no need to queue at the airport.
Other entry requirements for Bali-bound travellers
Bali tourist tax (IDR 150,000): If you’re heading to Bali, you’ll need to pay the Bali Tourism Fee of around IDR 150,000 (approx. AU $13), introduced in early 2024.
Passport and return ticket: Your passport must be valid for at least six months, and you must hold a return or onward ticket.
Travel insurance
While not mandatory, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost baggage.
Indonesia’s new All Indonesia requirement signals a broader push toward digital efficiency and traveller convenience. By consolidating multiple declarations into one and pairing it with the streamlined e-VOA, travellers can hopefully experience faster, less stressful entry into paradise.
