Here, even the paint brushes are edible.
His character might have been questionable, but there’s no doubt his paintings remain iconic in the art world. And now, Pablo Picasso’s work is being celebrated at NUO Hotel Beijing in the form of edible art – rather, edible art supplies.
Partnering with UCCA (Ullens Center for Contemporary Art), where ‘Picasso – Birth of a Genius’ will be held until September, NUO has launched an artwork of its own. Here, fruity, white chocolate mousse fills an edible faux peach, paired with edible cookie paint brushes and jam ‘paint’ – served on a painter’s palette, no less.
Once you’ve eaten your artist-inspired fare, roam around the hotel’s artworks, which dapple its walls throughout. The dessert is available from 15 June to 1 September 2019 at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge.
