And meat-loving cruisers will be tempted by it too.
For many years, cruise ship cuisine has presented a mixed bag of hit-and-miss culinary delights – ranging from family-friendly buffets to fine dining, with little in between.
Now, many lines are catching on to the idea that many of us travel with one thing in mind: food. Long distances, in fact. Now, cruise line restaurants are rethinking menus to befit their hungry passengers’ tastes.

This week, Oceania Cruises (a food-oriented luxury cruise line) has announced its new extensive plant-based menus. More than 200 new menu selections will feature breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes for vegan diners (or those who need a plant-based break between the heavier stuff).

Guests can enjoy plant-based foods in The Grand Dining Room, the Terrace Cafe and during dinner services in all of the specialty restaurants.
The new dishes span Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican and Malaysian cuisines – think poke bowls, pastas, pad thai, soups, salads, burgers, mac and cheese, and desserts (including a cashew creme brûlée).
