In celebration of the festival's 50th year, this music history tour will take you back.

It’s time to don your flares and put flowers in your hair. Time travel is a thing and this tour will take you back to the Summer of Love 1969.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival, Travelrite International is hosting a music-focussed tour of the US, hosted by none other than music historian Glenn A Baker.

The 19-day tour hits the road on August 7 and runs until August 25, 2019. During the tour music lovers will discover significant historical music sites, as they traverse San Francisco, Big Sur, Monterey, Lost Angeles, Cleveland, New York and, naturally, Woodstock.

Highlights will include visiting Golden Gate Park, where Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane performed, Strawberry Fields the John Lennon memorial site, the Chelsea Hotel where Bob Dylan wrote many of his greatest songs, The Grammy Museum, and music venues including Whisky A-Go-Go and the Troubadour Club where the likes of Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix have played.

If the idea of a trip down memory lane strikes a chord,  visit the website.
