And can you guess which Sydney icon made the cut?
With travel comes new perspectives, a global understanding and (perhaps most importantly today) an aesthetically pleasing update to your Instagram profile.
The latter has become pretty common and travel agency, TravelBird, has today released a study of the most Instagrammed tourist attractions around the world. The most hashtagged travel destinations are surprisingly not the Empire State Building (ranked 20), Niagara Falls (ranked 12) or the Sydney Opera House (sliding in at 41), but for the love of Valencia, take a look at the frontrunners.
Disneyland, California, USA: 14.6 million
It may not be the most aesthetically mesmerising tourist attraction, but Disneyland in Cali has topped the list. The first of Walt Disney’s theme parks is often on the bucket lists of travellers, young and old, and clearly a few have ticked it off with more than 14.6 million hashtagged Instagram posts here.
Eiffel Tower, Paris, France: 7.2 million The City of Love’s most sought after tourist attraction is also the second most sought around the world (for social media purposes at least). The Eiffel Tower has raked in more than 7 million hashtagged Instagram posts, and yes, a few captured proposals.

Walt Disney World, Florida, USA: 5.4 million
Once Disneyland is ticked off, Disney World is clearly next on Disney-enthusiasts’ lists. The ‘world’, which has four theme parks, two water parks and more than 20 hotels was hashtagged more than 5.4 million times by ‘grammers.
South Beach, Florida, USA: 4.6 million A beach sought out for its people-watching as much as its white sand and pristine waters, ‘SoBe’ was grammed more than 4.6 million times by travellers. Proceed to the hashtag with caution.

Berlin Wall, Berlin, Germany: 4.5 million
A tragic icon of Europe post-World War II, the Berlin Wall has been a monumental destination for global travellers with a keen interest in history. Millions of people have visited the wall, which was demolished in the 90s, and 4.5 million people have hashtagged their visit.
