Rather, it’s the green rolling hills and snow-capped mountains of Switzerland that are proving the most irresistible way to ring in a marriage.

According to the website, pins on Switzerland as a honeymoon destination have jumped up 856 percent on last year. Following behind in second place is the adventurous option of an African safari, which increased by 219 percent on last year. And finally, bringing up the rear is classic tropical holiday favourite Bali, which increased by 145 percent in pins in the past year.

So newlyweds, forget about your burgeoning bikini collection and start pulling out those winter woolies…
