If you’re hanging out for season three of The Crown, a stroll through the historic streets of London to take in some of the city’s most regal turf should tide you over. Start where it all began at Buckingham Palace, then head to Lancaster House, a stone’s throw from the palace, where many of the scenes depicting the palace interior were actually filmed. Head down Pall Mall or stroll through leafy St James’s Park to Westminster Abbey, where Princess Elizabeth married Philip Mountbatten on 20 November 1947. Make a day of it with a trip to The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich in the city’s east, which was used as a stand-in for Buckingham Palace courtyard.
