In this tranquil part of New Zealand likes Kinloch Manor, a luxurious retreat where peace abounds.
A golfer's dream
And, it’s home to a scenic 18-hole golf course, which makes it a dream destination for those who love a putt.
But the tennis lover's haven't been forgotten
If golf isn’t your top choice, partake in a spot of tennis at Kinloch Manor’s pristine courts surrounded by the abundant natural beauty of the region.
The look and feel
Andrew Patterson, one of New Zealand’s most renowned architect, is the creative design mind behind the 10-villa property, which has been inspired by the Kinloch region’s namesake Scottish castle on the Isle of Rum – with a modern take.
What's inside?
The retreat has been created using local schist stone for the facade and with baronial opulent textures. While renowned local interior designer Virginia Fisher has used rich velvets, leather and brass in the Great Room, alongside marble and floor-to-ceiling windows in the villas, to create a warming setting that casts the eye on the view beyond.
The villas
Nature lovers with discerning design tastes will adore the villas, which immerse their guests into the depths of the natural setting outside – while retaining a cosy feel inside.
Make yourself at home
Wooden accents, spacious rooms and a contemporary kitchen will make guests feel they’re at home in this beautiful corner of New Zealand.
The dining philosophy
The dining room’s dishes demonstrate Kinloch’s estate-to-plate organic philosophy, with much of its produce grown on-site, while its extensive wine list showcases the country’s finest drops.
Where you'll eat
A contemporary, minimalist dining space offers incredible views of the land and lake – and will have guests dreaming up your adventures for the following day.
The relaxation treatments
A world-class spa named The Solar offers guests sheer relaxation with its range of ‘indulgent organic prescriptive wellness treatments’, facials, massages and other rejuvenating experiences.
The property
The property’s style gives an enthusiastic nod to two of Scotland’s greatest exports: golf played on rugged land set on the edge of the water, and the grandness of its castles.
