Bali has long lured in those with a penchant for partying thanks to its already impressive collection of day clubs. But now the island is home to a lively hotspot that combines both travellers’ interest in cliffside cocktails, as well as five-star luxury. Hakkasan Group on February 2 will introduce Omnia Dayclub. It’s a beachside cousin to Las Vegas nightlife favourite Omnia, and the dayclub is expected to bring a similarly revolving door of international DJs and musical acts to the island. But Omnia Dayclub’s most impressive attribute would have to be its design. Perched on Uluwatu’s limestone cliffs above the Indian Ocean (and accompanied with panoramic views) the drinking den is an open-air collection of sleek day beds and decks. To confirm its 5-star status, Omnia provides an infinity pool, exclusive bungalows with private plunge pools and VIP cabanas to boot, accessorised by an array of pool beds, sun beds and lounge areas. The sleek new space is the creation of Singapore-based practise WOHA, as well as New York’s Rockwell Group. It’s not just the partying that Omnia Dayclub plans to excel at. There’s also a strong food element provided with the inclusion of Sake no Hana into the new space. The modern Japanese restaurant may already be known thanks to its London flagship, but its Balinese outpost will bring the wow factor thanks to its perch atop an 80-metre plateau. Sake no Hana will feature a la carte menus that provide a selection of charcoal grill, toban and kamameshi dishes, while sushi and sashimi will be prepared-to-order at the sushi bar. Sashimi and cliffside cocktails on tap? Count us in.
