We can all breathe a little easier tonight.

In the middle of the darkest days, there is often light to be found. Amid the rapidly escalating novel coronavirus pandemic, one Sydney Hotel has teamed up with a charitable foundation to donate 8,000 desperately needed N95 respirators to the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.

The Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation and The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney donated the respirators this week to support local health workers and medical practitioners as they combat the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Royal North Shore Hospital is a tertiary-teaching hospital for a number of New South Wales universities and has become one of the frontlines for COVID-19 patients.

The hospital has been in dire need of medical supplies since the coronavirus outbreak began. The desperately needed N95 respirators are critical for patients suffering from the COVID-19 virus. Thanks to this heart-warming partnership, they were delivered earlier in the week.

“It is important that our frontline health professionals are protected.  We are grateful for their tireless efforts on behalf of our community,” said General Manager of The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, Mark Burns.

“We would like to express our most sincere thanks to the medical practitioners, who have been working round the clock to save lives. It is more important than ever that we join hands as one global community and care for each other,” said Daryl Ng, Director of the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation and Deputy Chairman of Sino Group, which operates The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney opened in 2019 in the site of Sydney’s iconic former GPO at No. 1 Martin Place. It is The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts’ first international expansion.
