Fans of Netflix-famous Tituss Burgess of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the LGBT+ community and its allies are in for a unique, sky-high treat. Virgin Atlantic will be hosting the UK’s first Pride Flight in June 2019.

‘What’s a Pride Flight?’ we hear you wonder. Aboard this colourful journey, UK passengers will head to New York City, destined for World Pride 2019 – on a flight that will be hosted by Titus Burgess, and feature special live performances.

And, the one-off flight will be staffed by LGBT+ pilots and cabin crew and is intended to be a ‘celebration of queer culture 38,000ft above the Atlantic’.

World Pride 2019 will commemorate the 50^th anniversary of New York City’s Stonewall Uprising, recognised as a pivotal moment in LGBTQ history.

Not only will Tituss be bringing his energetic brand of entertainment aboard, but there’ll also be a DJ, Drag-Queen Bingo, a Judy Garland singalong, inter-seat speed dating and specially themed in-flight entertainment.

The VS ’69 will depart London Heathrow on Friday 28 June 2019, and tickets are on sale now.
