TripAdvisor’s latest announcement is making waves
The results are in. TripAdvisor’s latest Travellers Choice Awards have officially named the top ten beaches in the country. While it may be the people’s choice award, the result have caused quite the stir. The result is a compilation of traveller reviews and ratings, posted to TripAdvisor over the past 12 months.
The people have spoken and Manly Beach has been crowned the best beach in Australia. Manly now holds the prestigious title for the second year running, with its two kilometre stretch of coastline providing endless places to swim, eat and relax, much to the delight of any beach-goer.
Of the remaining ten, half are located in sunny Queensland, including Surfers Paradise, Whitehaven and Noosa. New South Wales and Western Australia drew a tie, securing two beaches each, with Mindil Beach in Darwin (NT) rounding off the list at number ten.

For those curious to know which sandy shores took out the global accolade, Baia do Sancho in Brazil was crowned the world’s best. Others include Playa Norte in Mexico, Eagle Beach in Aruba and Clearwater Beach in Florida.
