And it’s food and beverage offerings are beckoning in locals too.
A spirited city gains a spirited accommodation offering this month with the opening of The Barcelona Edition – a contemporary hotel in El Born, the city’s creative and historic district in the centre of the Ciutat Vella district.
Step inside its shiny new lobby bar for locally produced Spanish vermouth, craft beer and sherry, then waltz into the all-day dining restaurant for an informal bite to eat – or visit two innovative dining spaces created by renowned creative foodie Sebastián Mazzola. Bar Veraz serves a fresh, seasonal menu at any time of day, alongside a selection of more than 30 local wines.
Beyond Bar Veraz, a fresh incarnation of The London Edition’s award-winning Punch Room occupies the mezzanine floor, accessible by a spiral staircase. Here, refreshing punch and sangrias are poured alongside exciting cocktails.

Under the basement floor lies a secret venue by the name of Cabaret. A late-night restaurant boasting a cosy lounge, cocktail bar and enticing tasting menu, Cabaret hosts well-known DJs and performers on its stage until the early hours of the morning.
Adjacent to the Santa Caterina Market and within fifteen minutes of the beach, the hotel is also set within walking distance of the city’s famed landmarks, including the Picasso museum, Gaudí’s Palau Güell, and the famed Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar.
