It’s blooming marvellous.
If there’s one flower in the world that (literally) turns heads, it’s the sunflower.
And while our Insta accounts may have been flooded with fields of lavender in recent years, the colour purple is taking a back seat.
This year, it’s all about endless fields of yellow.
So, if your current state could use a little more sunshine, head to the iconic Kalbar Sunflower Farm in Queensland’s Scenic Rim.
By 30th and 31st October, half of the farm’s 80,000 flowers are expected to be in bloom, with all the sunshiney goodness of the happiest flower in the world out in force by the weekend of 6th November.
Here’s what you need to know.
Will there be food at Kalbar Sunflower Farm?
Coffee and food vans will be available throughout the open days (yes, portaloos too), for your refuelling needs. You can also order picnic boxes to enjoy amongst the flowers.
Petal-loving pooches are welcome as long as they are well behaved and kept on a leash.
