A taste of Japanese hanami season comes to Victoria.

If a speedy to sojourn to Japan next April is out of the question, this resplendent celebration of cherry blossoms might just lure you to the Yarra Valley this spring.

CherryHill Blossom Festival, held at CherryHill Orchards, will bring blossoms, cherry-based treats, food trucks and live music to the Yarra Valley from 26 September to 6 October.

Sip the orchard’s Cherish Spritzer as you wonder through the confetti-like blooms, pack a picnic of your own to eat among the trees, or sample the fare from the food trucks. On site, Vietnamese Nem Nem, Asian flavour purveyors Dum and Dumpling, Mexican street food sellers Dos Diablos and Real OG Burgers will be among the venders during the festival. And, the orchard’s famed cherry ice-cream will be available once more.

Giant lawn games, photography masterclasses, a flower crown stall, face-painting, live entertainment, children’s workshops and honey tastings will keep visitors of all ages (especially those on school holidays) entertained

The festival will take place on 474 Queens Road, Wandin East. Adult tickets are $10 and children just $5 (and free on weekdays, excluding public holidays). Tickets also include a complimentary bottle of CherryHill’s Cherish Spritzer.
To purchase tickets, visit the CherryHill website.
