Take a trip down memory lane at this luxury hotel.

For 34 years, Hotel Morris held the title as Australia’s tallest hotel. The iconic Sydney property opened in 1929 and is a beautiful example of the Inter-War Palazzo style, which will be reflected throughout when it reopens in January after a three-year-long restoration.

Enter through the steel-framed glass doors on Pitt Street and you’ll be greeted by Bar Morris. Taking cues from the building’s origins, the 40-seat bar has an art deco design with rich tones of green and burgundy furnishings contrasted with brass metal and tiles. You’ll be able to dine here from dawn to dusk. Early birds will relish the speciality coffee and baked treats. Throughout the day deli-style small plates can be ordered with more indulgent dishes available well into the evening.

For those looking for somewhere to stay, there’ll be 82 guest rooms available to book. The rooms cater to solo travellers and couples looking to indulge. The Grande King Room is the jewel in the crown, with large art deco windows, lots of space and a stunning design.

The convenient location of Hotel Morris will be a drawcard for most, just a short stroll to Central Station and steps from the light rail, guests will love how easily they can connect to other parts of the city.

Room rates start from $269 (room only), per night. Book via, all.accor.com
