Hello, luxury.
Come summer, well-heeled Victorians eagerly flock to Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula for a seaside escape. The opening of InterContinental Sorrento in 2022 secured the coastal town’s position as a hot-spot for Victorian travellers that like a taste of luxury. And this December, the newest luxury hotel to open in Sorrento only confirms its status.

Cue Hotel Sorrento’s new look. The highly anticipated expansion of the iconic Hotel Sorrento, built in 1872, is the biggest transformation in the site’s history. It will debut with a contemporary look. Each of the 13 new Sunset Suites embrace raw materials (like limestone, travertine), are fitted with custom-designed Jardan furniture, feature an outdoor marble bath and offer breathtaking views of lush landscape.
One of the most exciting additions is the new 30-metre lap pool and terrace that surrounds it. Set amongst an oasis of travertine walls, olive trees and abundant greenery, kicking back on a pool lounge with a cocktail in hand you’ll easily be fooled into thinking you’re soaking in the Mediterranean sun. For in-house guests, seasonal breakfast and lunch can also be served to this area.

Just steps away from the pool terrace area, via a Japanese inspired courtyard, guests will find Marlo Spa. Tucked away in a secluded part of the hotel, this hidden oasis offers a retreat from the world, inviting guests to fully unwind. The Marlo Spa team, renowned for their expertise and local roots in Sorrento, has collaborated to craft a bespoke treatment menu catering to all types of guests and their needs. From soothing massages to rejuvenating fire and ice therapies.

Bookings for this coastal resort have just been opened ahead of the hotel’s official open date, December 14. Check us in, stat.
