Next year is looking to be the year that flight prices are finally going to drop and Black Friday sales is offering us a taste of what’s to come with some jaw-dropping discounts travellers can capitalise on. 

And we kid you not, we think this might be the best Black Friday flight sale to drop this sale season. Etihad Airways has revealed that starting from November 24, 2023, you can save up to 20% on all flights. While details about the sale are still kept under wraps we’ve crunched some numbers and this sale could potentially save you a pretty penny. 

If 2023 taught us anything when it comes to travel, it’s that off-peak or shoulder season is the new peak season in Europe. To avoid overcrowding, scorching hot weather and natural disasters (like wildfires) travelling in the months leading up to summer or just after is the best time to travel. 

Currently, Etihad Airways return flights to Athens in April are going for $1,835 (depending on dates). When the Black Friday sale hits and if it’s applicable to all flights then this brings the price of a return fare to Athens to just $1,486. These are prices we haven’t seen since pre-pandemic.
