Following a major refurbishment, the iconic resort is now taking bookings.
Escaping the winter chill just became a whole lot more enticing with news that the much-anticipated Hayman Island by InterContinental has officially opened this week.

To mark the opening guests will step off their luxury catamaran (or seaplanes) and onto the white sands of this iconic island resort, with its 400-hectare private island, 166 luxury rooms with breathtaking views of the Coral Sea and luxurious amenities with state-of-the-art technology.

Once settled in, Hayman’s onsite spa offers meditation and energy healing along with signature treatments focusing on deep relaxation. The marine treatments with Australian sourced ingredients like green clay and kelp drawing inspiration from the Whitsundays make switching off from work all the easier.

One of the most significant changes to the site was the introduction of five distinct restaurants and bars. Each has been designed as a destination in their own right, inspired by both local flavours and global know-how.

Pacific is where guests are invited to start their morning, exploring an array of breakfast stations from esteemed chefs. Bar Fifty is the place to come sunset, transporting guests back to the 1950s with a range of classic cocktails (all with a Hayman twist, of course).

End your evening at one of three new restaurants, all inspired by the flavours found throughout the resort. There’s fresh, poolside fun to be had at AQUA, pizza ovens galore at Amici Trattoria and zesty pan-Asian cuisine at Bam Bam.

The Hayman Island Resort by InterContinental is officially open and taking bookings now.
