Not so cool beans.
While Australia is currently experiencing a very chilly winter (in the southern states, at least), countries in the Northern Hemisphere are relishing hot, summer days. So there’s no better time for the international coffee machine review site, Coffeeness, to drop it’s ‘The Most Popular Iced Coffee Around the World’ list.
Data for the list was gathered by doing an in depth analysis of Google searches for iced coffee per country and determining which cold coffee is most popular for the findings. And we need to venti about the results.

Of course, it will come to no one’s surprise that internationally frappe reigns supreme, particularly in Europe, India and South America. The frappucino is also popular among coffee sippers in 12 countries like Belgium, Chile, Egypt, Jamaica, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Trinidad and Tobago. But when it comes to the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia, Coffeeness names iced vanilla latte as the favourite among caffeine addicts.
And, sorry, we’re not going to bean around the bush, but cold brew is clearly Australia’s cold coffee of choice. Is it not? Come the warmer months, the drip coffee can be found on the menu of most places serving coffee. And if not a cold brew then a simple iced coffee, sans flavour, surely?

Aussies are spoiled for choice when it comes to good coffee. As customers we know the good from bad. We wouldn’t dream of masking the taste of a good coffee by sweetening it with vanilla. A splash of milk (or milk alternatives) to enhance the taste, sure. But vanilla? Absolutely not. Cold brew was actually listed as the preferred coffee drink in countries like Brazil, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Poland, Norway, and Singapore.
If you are a coffee fanatic, then you will want to tick off the coffee you can only order in Italy on your travels.
