Aboriginal light festival Parrtjima has just announced a first-ever virtual show of the display of their awe-inspiring light projections.
The festival will broadcast the light display that is projected across the MacDonnell Ranges online this evening, allowing Australians at home to experience the festival from the comfort of their lounge rooms.

The festival’s newly announced online show is aimed at inspiring local travellers to start planning a trip to Alice Springs in 2021.

Parrtjima is Australia’s only authentic Aboriginal light festival. The spectacular event illuminates around 2km of the MacDonnell Ranges at Alice Springs Desert Park and Todd Mall over ten nights, from September 11th to September 20th.

This year’s program also includes large-scale sculptural installations, cooking demonstrations from chefs Mark Olive and Rayleen Brown, live music, workshops, film favourites and the Deep Listening talks.

The virtual tour will debut on the Parrtjima website at 7:30PM AEST tonight and will be available throughout the festival.
