Killing time at the airport? Step inside 'My Lounge' for DIY cocktails and a gaming area.
A comfortable new lounge has opened in Brisbane International Airport – away from the crowds but not too far from boarding gates. ‘My Lounge – Home of Virgin Australia’ is the concept of Britain’s No 1 Lounges, and has opened in partnership with Virgin Australia.

Lounge guests can enjoy locally sourced foods and drinks from an all-day ‘grazing counter’, barista-made coffees, DIY cocktails (try the signature Virgin Australia ‘flamingo’ aperitif) and self-serve drinks. A curated wine list will also be on offer. Expect to spot local ales from the likes of Newstead Brewing Co.

Alongside the refreshments are shower facilities, complete with fluffy towels, hair dryers and luxe toiletries (so you can have people think you ‘woke up this way’ following a long-haul flight).

A choice of comfortable seating areas, unlimited WiFi, newspapers and magazines, television and charging points will create a relaxed space to wait out layovers. While a gaming area will help competitive types pass the time.

Although eligible Virgin Australia customers will have guaranteed access, passengers flying on other airlines will also be able to use the space on a pay-per-use basis – by pre-booking online for $60 per day, or in person on the day for $70. Children older than 11 will cost $30, and those under 11 can accompany adults for free.

Complimentary and guaranteed access to the lounge will be available to all eligible Virgin Australia Business Class guests, and Platinum and Gold members of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Program, as well as Virgin Australia Lounge Members travelling to New Zealand.
You can book online now at no1lounges.com/brisbane to secure your spot for your next day of travel.
