Okay people, we’re going to make this snappy. 

It’s Jetstar’s 17th birthday and to celebrate, the carrier is giving away flight vouchers valued between $50 and $500 today (25 May).

Starting at 6am, commuters passing through Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station or Sydney’s Central Station will have the chance to pocket their share of $10,000 worth of vouchers (70 in total are available).

The idea is that you’ll ‘catch a plane’ as an image of JQ17 (see what they did there?) flies across the big digital screens dotted throughout the two stations. See the plane, scan the QR code and you’re in with a chance to take to the skies.

And you never know, before long you could be aboard a Jetstar flight on one of their new routes, like Melbourne – Hamilton Island, Newcastle – Cairns, Sydney – Hervey Bay or Hobart – Gold Coast. 

You’ve got until 9pm tonight, so if you’re working late in the city or heading out for dinner, swing by Flinders Street or Central Station for some serious birthday cheer.
